Property Groundskeeper – Independent Senior Living Community
Providing a serene outdoor experience for our residents in a luxury resort-style setting. Whether is planting shrubs or tulip bulbs, or dressing up trees with twinkling lights, every detail matters. The Gatesworth is looking for the immediate placement of a part- time property groundskeeper. The property groundskeeper works 24 hours weekly Monday – Friday.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintenance, appearance, and landscaping of the Gatesworth campus under the supervision of the Maintenance Director.

The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive, of the position.

• Responsible for maintaining the meticulous appearance of the grounds, including the Main and West Entrance areas, parking lot areas, highway fence section and all courtyards.
• Responsible for overall cleanliness of garage to include leaf and debris removal.
• Responsible for leaf removal throughout landscaping and shrubs.
• Responsible for planting flowers and removal and reporting of dead shrubs throughout campus.
• Perform regular checks of irrigation throughout campus to shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
• Responsible for minor repairs of fountains and pond issues including adding dye and making sure filters and systems are functioning properly.
• Assist in making sure bird guards and microwave vent screens are checked, repaired and added when needed.
• Responsible for checking and maintaining gutters are clear of leaf clogs.
• Assist Maintenance in condenser washing, filter changes and other quarterly projects.
• Assist in replacement of light bulbs around the grounds and campus, including sidewalks, entrances, canopies and all other outside lighting.
• Keep sidewalks and parking areas neat and clean.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.00 per hour
