Job Description:
Provide a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and company assets. Supervises security staff on assigned shift, providing training and daily direction to ensure all areas of security responsibility are appropriately staffed and tasks are effectively performed. Serves as the lead in the handling of incidents and emergencies that occur on their shift, involving police/fire agencies as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external guests.
- Trains, coaches and holds security staff accountable for providing exceptional guest service to internal/external guests.
- Assigns and directs daily work of security staff, and monitors work performance providing real-time correction as appropriate.
- Provides significant input into employee performance reviews, provides appropriate feedback, and administers disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to security staff.
- Daily leadership of staff, applying appropriate recognition and motivation strategies to aid in optimal employee engagement and productivity.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities while supervising business operations.
- Enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Responsible for managing employees’ schedules, PTO requests and completing payroll processing.
- Ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and company assets by identifying and controlling risks and threats as needed.
- Assists in the handling of incidents and emergencies, involving police/fire agencies as appropriate.
- Involved in the assessment of potentially intoxicated patrons, including determination of outcome and resulting next steps.
- Ensures security staff is trained on all gaming regulations, applicable laws and company policies and follows/enforces them as applicable.
- Instruct, train, and monitor security staff in their daily duties including customer and employee relations, handling company funds, and critical incident management.
- Ensures all necessary documentation is completed, from daily activity logs to incident reports.
- Oversees required count team drops.
- Coordinates and/or facilitates department training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous security experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of prior direct supervisory experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of prior guest service experience required.
- Associate degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
- Must demonstrate ability in the following competencies: organizational skills, attention to detail. interpersonal skills, communication skills (both verbal and written), conflict management skills and problem solving.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa Class C gaming license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED/and First Aid Certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.50 per hour
