Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics and Professional Services Manager to own and optimize warehouse, logistics, and material supply chain operations, as well as outside (product) services. He/she manages a team of warehouse and planning personnel, and works in close collaboration with production team leadership to deliver on near and long term customer shipment expectations with high effectiveness and efficiency. They actively monitor, control, and report on Finished Goods inventory and department WIP, and also support production’s supply of raw material. They are a “pulling force” in support of shipment expectations, helping the production team prioritize their schedule based on the latest lead times and constraints of outside service providers and secondary operations. He/she manages relationships with and coordinates shipments to/from these multi-sourced outside service suppliers and secondary operations to ensure turnaround times that support customer shipment needs while also minimizing cost.
The successful candidate is a process oriented “can do” leader who seeks to resolve problems at their root cause. They are tactfully assertive with their ideas, concerns, etc. and unafraid of conflict – trusting that through healthy conflict interactions, we achieve process improvement and growth.
Primary Responsibilities Include (But are not limited to):

· Manage and coordinate all logistic operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
· Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries.

· Coordinate the flow of orders to and from external service providers, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
· Evaluate and manage total service costs, considering service fees, freight, lead time, and quality implications.
· Collaborate with production scheduling to assign and adjust outside service priories, ensuring alignment with production timeliness and customer needs.
· Provide regular input to the production manager to help prioritize jobs in consideration of necessary outside service lead times.
· Oversee and manage a small team of Secondary Operations operators that work in the warehouse, performing final value-add functions with a subset of production parts… paint markings, sleeve assembly, special packaging (tacky board, etc.)
Customer Support:
· Communicate and collaborate with customers and third-party transportation teams to ensure shipments meet specific customer needs.
· Address customer concerns related to packaging, labeling, and any parts damaged or lost in transit.
· File and manage claims with carriers for damaged or lost shipments, ensuring all issues are resolved and brought to closure.
